Very basic feature: to export annotations
H
Heidi Rishel Brakey
Yes - exporting WITH referenced text/file.
Gary Saunders
This is so frustrating. I can't even copy and paste the annotations

Is there any other work around to export annotations in Nvivo for Mac?

This feature looks very useful, however, the suggested solution of a 'Compound Query' below is not available even with the latest Mac version. Please include a Mac update once it gets on the development path.

Absolutely agree. Export with various export options (e.g., export annotations by source, by set, by classification). The lack of support for annotations in the various versions of Nvivo has always been a major weakness of the program.

This is definitely a workaround, but have a look at this video which may help: https://qdatraining.com/gathering-annotations-using-a-compound-query/ Kind regards, Ben

Ben Meehan: This workaround is great if your project file is small (e.g., < 60-100 files containing annotations). When you start getting into larger projects (as is the case when you are working in multi-member teams or when you use Nvivo for scoping literature reviews) the result is that the final export of the annotations results in a program freeze.

Ben Meehan: This looks great, but Nvivo for Mac doesn't have Compton queries.... any other way?
Ben Meehan
Gabriela Quintana Vigiola: Unfortunately, there is no such workaround on the MAC version of NVivo. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news :(
