Flexibility with Annotations

I'm using NVivo 12 for Mac for research and would like to print, export, view or move all my annotations but can't find the solution to do this - only a list and link to original source. The software won't allow to cut and paste into new NVivo document which would really help me. Any solution?

In addition to this - SO frustrating that datasets imported from excel cannot be annotated AT ALL in Nvivo 12 for Mac. This means I have no capacity to annotate in a project that consists of 2500 survey responses. Annotation really ought to be a basic feature for all data types - I can’t believe it’s unavailable!!

By nature, most qualitative analysis involves a great deal of refining coding through multiple rounds. We therefore would very much look forward to the features that enable us to do more with annotations. For example, being able to export annotations across the documents/codes/cases and to create all/selected annotations as a code/case/set. Thank you!

I would like to be able to export a file, with its codes and annotations, to another project. Sometimes an annotated PDF belongs in both my "Stress" project and my "Endocrinology" project.

I assumed that this very basic feature -exporting annotations- was available in NVivo por Mac and I am shocked to learn that it is not. I will consider changing software for my projects without this ability. Urgently needed.

Is there a way to view all annotations together, i.e. in one grouping? I can get a whole of project list of files with annotations, but this doesn't reveal what the annotations actually are without clicking on each individual item in the list...

VinceQSR: Hi, is this still under review, or is something being done? Either way, an update would be welcome. These suggested features seem quite obvious to include, and their absence is a massive limitation

is it possible to export annotations the same way as a codebook

In current version of NVivo, it is possible to see list of annotations across a project in a folder. Yet, you have to open each document to view them. For example, if you have added 100 annotations to 30 documents, you have to open those 30 files one after the other. Or alternatively, you could code your annotations to a code called "annotations" but this is extra work. It would be great to view all the annotations with a single click. So I agree with Mitzi.

I would also love to do this!
