Enhancement to NCapture for Facebook

First and foremost, you need to update your documentation for NCapture to remove mention of the fact that users are able to capture closed pages/groups they are a member of ... this is no longer possible. Second, you need to update NCapture to at least be as good as the free apps available elsewhere, otherwise, incorporate one of those apps into NVivo.

Yes, I purchased NVIVO for Intuit in part to organize and analyze Facebook data from our private groups of users. Even as an admin for a private group, I cannot pull the data other than in a pdf. This isn't useful.

Thanks for the feedback. Is there a specific thing the other free apps do that you prefer?

Nick Sissons:
Hi Nick ... the other apps simply have a lot more options to choose from in terms of how the website is captured and what format the output will be in. For an example of the types of options available, checkout Evernote’s browser extension. The other extensions I’ve used and liked are FireShot and Full Page Screen Capture. Note that I’ve used these last two on Chrome, I’m not sure if they’re available on other browsers.
Admittedly, the extensions do not capture a data set of a Facebook page, but I’ve been using the Netvizz Facebook app to capture the raw data from open pages and groups. It has the ability to select timeframes and the types of data to be captured. It was designed by an academic specifically for research purposes and he keeps it updated and current. If NCapture could do what Netvizz does, NCapture would be awesome.
