Allow file deletion from text search results

I have over 6000 artefacts in my project. For file cleansing I need to do text searches which identify duplicate artifacts under multiple names. I need to delete sometimes several hundred and doing this one by one is unworkable. Is it possible to create a feature where the identified files in different folders in a text search can be deleted as a group?

Hi everyone - thanks for your comments below. Am still a bit stuck. So I have searched and found 155 files I need to delete from my file folder. I have saved them as a set - but as Sue says this only identifies the shortcuts. I can't make sense of the instruction:
She can click on her file folder and sort on the name there to see a matching list; she can click on the matching files using her CTRL key and delete them all in one movement.
What do I do with the two lists? How do I match the selected set short cuts to their corresponding artefacts in the source folder? I can't see any function to sort the artefacts in the folder to select out the items identified in the set

If you click on the summary tab of search result; select all files and create them as a set (windows only), you can delete the entire set in one go. I hope this helps.

Ben Meehan I think Susan wants to delete the files from her project. Deleting from a set will only delete the shortcut to the file doesn't it?

Sue Bullen Hi Sue, yes correct, I should have qualified the comment. If Susan sorts the set on the name or even sorts in the summary tab of search result, She can click on her file folder and sort on the name there to see a matching list; she can click on the matching files using her CTRL key and delete them all in one movement. Not perfect but a good workaround.
