Audio Playback only works via computer speakers

It is much easier to listen to the audio using headphones while typing transcriptions. Is there no way to configure NVivo to play sound back through headphones either plugged into my laptop or using a bluetooth device? The only option that will work is the computer inbuilt speakers. Even when my headphones are plugged in and work with all other applications, still NVivo will only use the computer speakers.

I have a hunch that it's up to your computer, not NVivo, to select your preferred audio output channel. I am also working through about a million audio and video recordings and MUCH prefer using headphones!
Are you on a Windows machine? If so, open your settings and find/search for "sound". From there, you'll be able to "choose your output device".

Will N: I'm using Mac, but I've tried what you suggested. According to my computer, it's on headphones. But NVivo still uses the inbuilt computer speakers. It's actually very strange because I can listen to all other computer sounds via the headphones, NVivo alone still uses the speakers.

Will, are you able to use headphones while using NVivo? If yes, I wonder if there's a discrepancy on the Mac side that is causing this?
