Nvivo unexpectedly quits whenever opened

Every time I try to open NVivo 12 on my Mac, it unexpectedly quits. I can never get past the "Problem Report for NVivo 12" without it unexpectedly quitting again.

SOLUTION

Fixed the problem! So what you have to do is make sure your mac is updated to it's fullest extent. You also need to make sure to fully delete the program off of your mac and empty trash because you will be starting off fresh. Then download the program again. Once it is on your computer and you receive that crash notice again- don't panic just cancel it. Next, you must go to your system preferences, then security & privacy, then click NVIVO12 - check the box - NVIVO12 needs the permissions. Then reopen the program and it should work! My university IT finally helped me figure it out. It took the only woman on the team to solve the issue! :D

This is my problem as well! It is terribly annoying and my university IT people have no clue how to resolve it! Have you been able to figure out the problem? Also, do you have a mac as well?
